[WIP] Building of Ruins of Mordheim modular table

Workshop: Struttendorf, part 16.

It was time for the next stage of work on the building model from Kromlech.

After making the Prussian wall, it was time for the next elements. I placed the building model on a base cut out of styrodur, which I covered with clay bricks of different patterns. I also made the floor on the ground floor of the building to match the pattern on the first floor.

The buidling models currently looks as follows.

Workshop: Struttendorf, part 17.

The time has come for the next stage of work on the ruins from Kromlech.

I decided to place the ground-floor ruins of the ruin below on bases cut from styrodur that are a few centimetres long.

The idea is that this substantial manor house, originally built on a hill, was destroyed by a magical catastrophe that left fragments of walls and floors, and that the various islands were connected by footbridges and rope bridges.

I will write more about the construction of rope bridges and footbridges next week and in two weeks.

The ruins at the moment looks as follows.

Only slight observation is that the weight hangs wrong. Doesn't matter for gaming and if you put a nice chunky mini in the middle it will probably droop appropriately. I like to build rope bridges around pieces of sturdy, bent steel wire. That way the bridge always has a 'sag' to it. Your twisted wire method would work just great in conjunction.

Thanks for the comment. The wire is twisted and reinforced with cyanoacrylate glue so the bow holds even without the figure.

Today on the blog a tutorial on footbridge construction...

Was not expecting the islands, very neat and interesting. Loving those bridges. What an awesome project.
Thank you. :)

How many buildings do you have now and how many will you make in total?
Up to now I have shown probably 10 or 11 structures, and in total there will be 15 if I count correctly - because there will be two more redoubts, a monument, a bridge. There will also be a modular river and a road.

Workshop: Struttendorf, part 21.

There are really not many models left from Kromlech.eu to show and finish the first stage of work.

Today another valorized ruin, in addition to the Prussian wall I added a styrodur base, a floor made of coffee sticks, a balustrade made of pine slats and a brick wall.

After the initial preparation of the building model from the City Ruins and Town Ruins sets from Kromlech, it was time to build some additional terrain elements.

First up were the bastion/redoubt models, which I built from styrodur, coffee sticks, bamboo strips and clay bricks.

Today the first of the building model, which looks as follows.
