There is nothing as nice as lovely painted knights and these certainly don't disappoint . Keep up the great work.

The last 3 of my Chevaliers Rampants. I finished painting them months ago, but I've been waiting for my windsor newton spray varnish.
So I got tired of waiting and decided to try out my dads 30 year old never before used revell spray gun designed to be used with pressured air cans. Of course the modern non revell air cans didn't fit, but I managed to superglue it together tightly, put some Windsor Newton varnish from a pot, into the gun and voila, it worked.

Here's the completed unit. After discovering some gorgeous miniatures, I've decided to go for a second unit of Chevaliers Rampants.

Here's the first half of my second unit of Chevaliers Rampants. I wasn't gonna make another, but then I got these figures.... and they were an absolute dream to paint.

Looking back, I figured Sieur Phil didn't look all that Bretonnian, So I gave him a new horse and repainted his armour while I was at it.

nice.. are you stencilling some of them symbols are something? bloody great for freehand...
Thank you. They're mostly citadel transfer decals. But I had to paint black ontop of the lower part of the yellow lion symbol on the black/yellow knight.
And the white moon symbols on the yellow knight were also free hand, so there is some pencil work involved.

This is gold! Read the whole thread from start to end, had me howling! And the paintwork is superb. I love them.

How about a group shot?

And a rematch between the Red Knight and Sir Pepin

transfers came out well.. even with a bit of paint I used to have too much problem with the transparent 'bordered' to the transfers..

Those are so bright and dynamic. Lovely lovely models and lovely paint jobs on them, making me even more tempted to get some Bretonians. Proper chivalry!
