The Citadel Giant- We can rebuild him...

The next obvious question will be why do this next bit? Why because we're hobby nerds that’s why. All kidding a side this was a fun bit to do at the end. For the store? I picked something that could have potentially sold the giant in the early 1980s. If the UK chaps can tell me if I'm close or way off on that, many thanks.

So with no box for the giant, nor any true sense of the dimensions for said box? Answer? Recreate it as best as possible:

Now if someone can tell me what these "certificates" are supposed to look like? Personally, I don't think they are all that detailed (as a guess). Or perhaps better said, it wasn't a certificate at all? I highly doubt it was something in the modern sense of listing "This is number XX out of 1,000"

The replica box is a lovely touch.
Many thanks. Believe it or not finding the roughly right sized box with no text or graphics on it was a bit difficult.

Also, full credit to the 80's Warhammer blog spot for the image, I assume it's Orclord's box?

£29.50? SOLD ^_^

anyway.. though there were two different images used for the front, it's not too hard to work out the size from various shots of it in the box or right next to it

And what's good, is they still make Araldite Rapide ^_^ Citadel could have make a fair bit with that produce placement.

I don't recall but I sold it in 2021. It was a lucky score that had been lying around for a few years before I decided I was never likely to build and paint it.

That's really cool, thanks fpor posting it. Never seen this one before and I'm partial to giants. I have quite a few but none of the really big ones. Is this the very first attempt at a giant this big by a miniature company? I know quite a few followed with the Grenadier goblin War giant maybe being the most famous.

And what kind of money are we talking if you should happen to see one for sale?
I'm guessing a lot, an original metal Otherworld giant recently sold in Canada for $550. US equivalent.

Assume you have seen this collection of giants? http://www.sodemons.com/rhgiants2/index.htm

Gives a better idea of the scale of this big bad lad! Must be the biggest for the time!
