Yeah space troll sure but only if you manage to finish zoats and minos first, there are plenty of trolls out there to be converted, can't say the same about zoats and fimirs...

Agreed! Should have a similar design philosophy to Ogryn Ripper Guns. But if a ripper gun just too piddly small for your big guy:

The horns guns are ESSENTIAL dude. If you don't make one with horns we will just end up crudely converting your models with god knows what in place of horns! I would go so far as to say that the horns should be modular :mrgreen: .

Imagine bolter and shuriken catpults duct-taped to the horns... :shock: that would be a pity wouldn't it? Believe me, the gun horns are just the very essence of the model. :geek:
 
Ok ok , gunned horns.... but I'll try something more asthetic than this...

While the models are cool , the horns specially on the left guy look like 70'spaceship machinery :grin:

Hooray! I like the idea of gun horns grafted to his head, freeing up his hands for industrial sized chainblades/buzzsaws and the like. Without gun horns its just another fantasy minotaur and we already have loads of those.

Im genuinely not sure how you make a space minotaur gun horns that look genuinely cool, rather than goofy/retro/Masters of the Universe cool to be honest :)

Regarding feet versus hooves, take a look at the images above. The guy with the feet looks like a big guy wearing a mask, whereas the guy on the left looks properly inhuman. Hooves all the way please.

We prefer the term "abhuman", if you please.

And yeah, you're right about the feet/hooves.
 
Thought of the day * I've been thinking on the minotaurs , and in my opinion the best way to get them nicely done and being very unique models full of character will be
making "different" minis for each weapon. I mean , using the same base , I can change the head , objects , conections of the weapon...for example the guy with bolter can have the ammo box while one with a flamer will have some deposits and pipes.... In the end it will be like 3 different models or so , if most of you plan to purchase enough to make a squad of them (3 or 4...) I think it could be even better in the end in terms of variety....
Anyway , I'm still open to subgestions :)

I have to buck the trend and say NO to gun horns! Silly idea...IMO.

I certainly prefer one piece sculpts anyway...as long as they look different enough to be individuals I like your idea of a squads worth of big bad asses!

Yes it will be altered , sure ;)
But I need to know first how to go with the weapons , I'm leanning towards full model with weapon , and just creatin 2 different options for them , maybe Heavy Bolter and Heavy Flamer.

Very good proportions so far. I have to say the mechanical leg is also a very nice idea which will tie the model even more to the RT universe. Is he going to have a bare chest or do you plan on sculpting him a sleeveless shirt or somr armor ? (would definitely like the sleeveless shirt but will do with any option ;)

Very good as always, You've made us dream a lot all through this week so cheers for that!
 
Will have armor , chest like armour. Can't it be seen on the pics? Look at the shoulders and over ;)
The mechanical leg will rock once finished. Also a lot of more futuristic stuff to add.
Still waiting on the opinions about making it as an entire model for each weapon. Applying some changes to each one , not just the weapon....please guys. :?: :?:

Well, I guess it's just a compromise, having completely different miniatures would be better but having the same with changeable would allow us to add something else than what you ahd planned so it would mean more flexibility which is also important. in the end, it's all about the time you're wilingto spend on them ain't it?

I'd say go with 2 Minos, each with 2 weapon options. Then get them cast and sent too me for um ''Inspection'' ;) and i wouldn't even charge hehe.

The problem is : Bolter option should came with ammunition or similar , flamer should have pipes and deposits.... thats totally different decoration
For me it will be the one I'm doing with variations for the second model with different weapon. And then a leader.
So it can be 1 basic body + 1 modified +1 VERY modified for leader.
I guess most people will want at least 3 of this guys , one is not so much in play terms...

3 is the right number for me and your logic seems fine. The bionic leg is a strong signature for the model though, having all 3 models with the same bionicleg would feel weird.

If you make one with a Bolter/autocannon weapon option (Same ammo canisters) and one with Flamer/plasma option(Again same ammo pipes/cannisters) thats just 2 bodys and 4 weapons add in a leader scultp that's 5 figures and should make everyone happy
