Slaves Danse Macabre.

My Vampires and Wraiths have arrived, typically as soon as I go bathroom the Evri driver knocks on my door, glad she thought me tripping over my boots in the hallway and the sailor language as I'm trying to find the light switch was amusing.

I think I have more Vampires than actual regiments now. 🤣

Gutted I missed out on a Samantha Phox mini yesterday, she would have made a fine Necromancer. ☹️

The OG plastics are not only classics, but IIRC, being unarmoured they are very quick to paint?
That's an interesting point to be fair. Depending on your style, it can be quite quick (Base, Shade, Highlight) OR can be much harder cause working out the right highlighting for soo much curved bone surface compared to a sheet of plate armour which has less points which catch the light for reflection/refraction (can't remember the correct term right now)

Didn’t take a pic of the completed plastic skeletons I prepared for BOYL, but went for the zenithal, contast & drybrush route… the freehand shield designs took the most work!

Was sat there last night looking at everything thinking 'its only took me since 1991, but I now have an Undead army'. Now I just need to paint the damn things.
I know I'm late to the thread but this seems to pretty much sum up my life. As a kid I couldn't afford the shiny stuff (especially the metals). now I have kilogrammes of metal minis just no time and failing eyesight!

Good luck with the painting - I think skellies are a tricky balance. They're relatively easy to make look 'good' but a lot more effort to get to 'great,'

For the plastics I'm just doing basecoat, wash, dry brush and calling it a day because I hate painting the same thing over and over. I'm going to get metals for the front ranks to make them look fancier, so I'll put more effort into those.

I'm dreading starting a goblin army, that's going to take ages.

Gonna try Micro sol/set for the first time. Let's see how badly I can balls this up!! 🤣

If all goes well my cav should be finished today (apart from the banner, no idea what I wanna do with them yet).

Debating on black or brown for base edges, always been indecisive when it comes to base edges.

I only really ever used it when the surface was a bit curved, even then I often never bothered.

If you are using those decals I sent, I used a few just fine without.
