RT Marine Camo

A few squads based on these classic pieces of Rogue Trader artwork. The camo patterns were achieved with masking fluid and the bases are a mix of flock and green tea leaves

These boys have seen alot of mutants and heretics come and go... but never quietly 🤫

Hell yeah! The odd camo colours always sold the impression of weird alien battlefields to me, so it's great seeing someone translate it onto a real miniature!

They are conversions... the lad on the left initially came with the heavy melta gun fixed on the tripod. He's been now given a plastic bolter. The one on the right was initially a heavy weapon marine but I've removed an arm and replaced it with RTB01 plastic - his bolter is also slung across his back, allowing him a nice close combat pose as he stalks Ork within the shadows
The final conversion in the other pic is a shuriken catapult- truly amazing weapons under the old RT rules - that following fire bonus goes miles!

You've done a fantastic job on these and the blue and black looks like a surprisingly effective camo too. And I've just had to look up how masking fluid works. Was it a lot easier than painting on the camo? I'm guessing you took it off after highlighting everything else? Great stuff.

they look really good, and i agree that power armour looks better in (alien) camouflage patterns.
