Rogue Trader Eldar and a Squat!

I quite like KingOf's idea about bone (I'd been thinking yellow would be worth a try) - might almost give it a feel of armour panels over a skelton core?

Decided to go for yellow, not totally sold but will have to wait until the arm and weapon are added I think to make my mind up.

I was not sure if I would like weathered and worn Eldar but I do.
It gives me SF3D / Ma.K vibes and I dig it.

So the Eldar were always meant to be a quick little side project before getting back to the Skaven. However I've really enjoyed painting these classic Rogue Trader era models and couldn't help picking up this squat off of Ebay.

As much as I would like to paint up some more the prices for squats makes that highly unlikely.

First test piece. Originally went with Blue Green body with Yellow helmet but quickly realised it was very similar to the blue/yellow scheme they appeared in back in the day, so changed the yellow for emerald. Yellow was instead used on the eyes and the weapons are just bronze as is the face grill thing. The bodysuit/chainmail is just grey.

I think I'm going to sleep on it and come back to it in a day or two. Somethings I like, some I'm not sure and I'm also aware that the base and what I do with that could also effect the final colour scheme .
