I stumbled yesterday again over the regiment of renown rules for the current Warhammer setting and went trough the. rules again.
I think with little adjustment it is an ideal ruleset for oldhammer skirmishes.
I build several list with Warhammer armies book and liked the feeling of it.
The rules are here ( i think it is legal to post the link, please correct if I am wrong)

You have 100 points to choose from you army list.
There are no heroes, no magic, or war machines allowed in the regiment. I would also exclude chariots. range combat is limited to 25% of models.
Each mini is a single unit and has 360* view
Additionally the differenciation in core and elite is not there in Warhamer armies, but maybe all +x elite choices can be evaluated as elite.
I like the root test starting with 50% loss, but I woudl exclude the rule for panic test when one guys was put out of action OOA.
it is to much rolling dice for me, when one model dies.
What do you think?
