Orks, Orks and moar Orks

that suspicion is absolutely accurate..
it's in fact a WFB standard bearer whose standard was broken when I acquired him. So off came the arms to be replaced with the iconic armaments (get it? arms? huh?) of 2nd Ed's Goff Boy. The original mini is here, bottom right corner:

As support for the Wartrak, some iconic Ork bikers join the Waaagh. Another all-time favorite, imo theses minis just ooze 'orkishness'. Since one of my bikes was missing the iconic twin autocannon, I've replaced it with a nob and a snot to go for the overcrowded clown car look that needs to feature in any self-respecting greenskin horde

Ork Freeboooterz are amongst the crown jewels of Kev Adam's 40k Orks imo. Painting them up is a little daunting to me since they're just festooned with teensy-tiny details but with a bit of patience they turn out great - at least that's how I feel about 'em.
Flanked by two converted Freebooterz here's one of the gang's leaders, the one, the only, the original Ghazkull. Painted up just a bit brighter and with all the gold bling on display, I think he fits in with the pirate gang rather nicely. Or doesn't he?

Nice job with these newest additions. You can tell big guy on left means business with that grenade hanging round his neck: Self-preservation instinct 0, badassness 100.

Cool! Colourful clothes really make these pop (and let's be real; colourful is really the correct way of painting space ork pirates!) but still look like they're all part of the same crew. Love seeing the nob getting love and a paint job it deserves after years and years of waiting. Well done!

Thanks!
tbh, that nob was the first Ork I assembled back in Orctober and he only got finished this year after 35 other Orks jumped the queue.
There are 36 more to be done this year so he marks the half-time spot which makes him kinda special in my book.
Won't be that long again until you see the next nob finished, i hope!

Thanks, that's very kind!
And the red-eyed ammo stands slightly discoloured in neat little rows sporting pilfered frills

not much to see here I'm afraid, just some Snots for the SAG team. I've tried a new way of basing and just stuck the little blighters into little hillocks made of miliput after scouring the surface like you do with the mash on a shepherd's pie. Worked out alright -only when the miliput dried and cured, it kinda shrank and drew the Snots towards each other and the hilltop in the middle of each base leaving too much of empty space round the base edge.
Oh and one of the bases had to be filled with Marauder Snotlings since I ran out of Kev Adams snots.

as someone who only has 2 pairs of snottings... I'll just point out something I've got on pre-order
Kev Adams sculpts ^_^; not 100% sure on sizing though..

they look great indeed but I've decided to stick to 'original' ie vintage sculpts. I want a 1st Ed. RT style Ork band made-up of era-appropriate minis (with the odd little exception here and there when it comes to parts and bits).
