Orctober what are people planning to do?

Hi all. I’ve been on the downlow of late but have found time to start on a few classic Orks from the plastic and metal Rogue Trader ranges.

I love these figures, there’s something rather affable about them. Paul Bonner’s art and the background information in the books tended to make them more sympathetic and personable than the original Rogue Trader depiction. I especially like the ridiculous hair (squig) on this one.

My greenskin for this month's painting challenge. "The only good kind of greenskin" - as imagined by the famous Leonardo Dawinci.

Two nasty skulkers came in the blackness of the night, stalking the dwarf's campsite. Both their blades and eyes were shining with murderous intent in the glimmering moonlight. With smelly feet, crooked backs, and weapons raised they shuffled over to the sleeping dwarf. Just as they were about to attack the trap was suddenly sprung when from the shadows gleaming steel bolts came flying like swift strikes from the ambushing dwarfs that were hidden nearby. The goblins were dead before they hit the ground, riddled with retribution.
The dwarfs were all in agreement that a grim warning had to be sent out to any greenskin that dared to attempt a similar feat again. Heads were severed from necks, arms removed from bodies, and onto a cloak from one of the assailants a ominous rune was carved to create a grisly trophy. A standard wielding the Urkdrengi, "orc slayer", as a runic symbol that carries a promise of vengeance to any foul goblin that lays their beady and evil little eyes upon it.
I like what you've done here! Nice twist on the challenge

Loving everybody's work on this - I think Orctober remains the original and most popular challenge - but I don't think I've ever taken part! I've picked out 3 orcs for the challenge, I'm going to get them primed and then I'll have a week off work in a week's time when I'm planning on catching up with painting projects, so I'll be able to go for it then.

I love this! I want to add something similar to my project list. The list that never gets shorter...

I managed to get some of the wrong colour paint in a tricky spot. It let me sneak in there and get some green on it without having to repaint whole sections. I think it'll come in handy for the eyes too.

Actually just spotted that you can see it in the photo - got some gold in his ear where it shouldn't be. Took the photo and then saw it.
