Giant received?? Does that mean I can let out the breath I've been holding since last week? ;)

I'll be doing an unboxing tomorrow, but yes, I have a box from Australia safely upstairs ;)

A giant from Australia? I wouldn't post it to my own neighbor. :o

Think I finished the Samurai, didn't take long. Took a quick photo of him with my cellphone, will probably post a better photo tomorrow.

And he will of course be out of the door before the weekend. :)

Thanks to both of you! Glad I can contribute.

The new and better picture still doesn't do him justice I think, maybe I will give him a few more highlights.

What's this? A mysterious package from an uncharted continent?

Something heavily wrapped is inside.

I discard the outer casing.

The first protective layer is removed.

I remove yet more wrappings and can start to see the hint of the contents.

Finally, beauty and the beast are revealed!

Somebody needs to invent rare earth magnet paint!

Mine is finally done! And he is packed and ready to wing off to Axiom's house.

Here is his glamor shot before boxing. Kind of a rough sculpt but a lot of character....for a chubby guy...

Cheers,

Blue

Very nice Blue - we've got a good core of ranged troops to stand back and rain arrows down, while the more eager fellas charge forward with their axes/swords/hammers etc

I used the even more advanced technology afforded by brass rod pinning. The only part that doesn't dry-fit is the quiver

That is some nice work there Blue. Reminds me to beware of fat guys, they will shoot you rather than chase you!

Hey! I resemble that remark! why burn so many calories running and fighting when I can just shoot an arrow up your arse from my couch!?!?!

...isnt that the source of the whole Brit fascination with the Long bow?

Cheers,

Blue

Mostly the fascination comes from the fact that they are great at turning French nobility into kebabs.

Can't wait for a photo of them altogether! Or are you going to wait until they are all received?

Erm, chaps, I may need to withdraw from this challenge - I've not picked up a brush since the end of October and my intended entry is still in the bare, un-prepped metal. I'm lolling in the midst of a massive painting set of the doldrums, and can't see that changing any time very soon with the addition of an increased workload :(

Sorry.

I just love that smile he has, I can totally see him shooting arrows slowly and quietly but each of them hits right in the eye/nuts/mouth/tentacle of the chaotic he has chosen as target.

No worries, it happens. Hope the muse inspires you again soon enough.
