Oakbound Advent 2026 - Deep Midwinter

I do love the little mystery boxes, honestly I wish the concept hadn't been so badly driven into the mud recently and more OSR companies did them

Might be because of my newly awakened state so I might have missed it but do you happen to know if that store is "EU-friendly"? Would love to get my hands on some lovely Oakbound miniatures, but usually everything based in the UK means a hefty customs fee when buying miniatures from there for us here in Sweden.

Doesn't say if duties etc. are paid by the shop or if you get billed once the package hits customs. Unfortunately the EU has not made it easy to ship into in the last couple of years!

When it comes to placing an order, which source would be best to pick when it comes to being the most benefical/valuable to you and for your bottomline? Directly from you, or from Mighty Lancer?

Now, this one looks pretty interesting in that I'm not quite sure where it's going (cause I don't open before December ^_^). I mean, only 4 Metal Miniatures, and the nice large resin boat.. but 18 Mystery Boxes.. ohh.. I think (not that I was much bothered) maybe some people were annoyed that last years small items were counted as miniatures, don't know. Also this year they are able to release a book with it instead of online for the days book/rules.

As normal, a Solo adventure, but this time you play as a Gnawloch, the not-quite-so-chaos-based Ratman who are known for there trading (and stealing of stuff to trade) via there subterranean tunnels. When it comes to Midwinter, they decide to spread 'goodwill' by giving gifts to others. OF course they are nice honest traders, look, if they weren't, would they give away free presents? But can they deliver the presents to the right people and get back home in time? without running into things like the fishy Bucca?

I'll be doing a daily opening post in December. sure, got tons of time until then but you might want to think about picking up a copy as stocks are limited.

Although when I spoke to Geoff at Colours he did give me permission to paint the boat and captain before December. So I reckon that applies to anyone who bought the calendar 😏

yeah, it's fair enough ^_^ Probably gonna wait (or maybe prime so I can start painting on the first day.. I got a bit of time left to decide
 
I got all but.. erm.. 2? painted... I got two sitting on my desk mostly painted so I think they are the only ones not painted.. Would have to double check ^_^ still got some from the first year to finish though.
