Okay, a few days late from the public sale but the third annual Oakbound Advent calendar is out:

Now, this one looks pretty interesting in that I'm not quite sure where it's going (cause I don't open before December ^_^). I mean, only 4 Metal Miniatures, and the nice large resin boat.. but 18 Mystery Boxes.. ohh.. I think (not that I was much bothered) maybe some people were annoyed that last years small items were counted as miniatures, don't know. Also this year they are able to release a book with it instead of online for the days book/rules.

As normal, a Solo adventure, but this time you play as a Gnawloch, the not-quite-so-chaos-based Ratman who are known for there trading (and stealing of stuff to trade) via there subterranean tunnels. When it comes to Midwinter, they decide to spread 'goodwill' by giving gifts to others. OF course they are nice honest traders, look, if they weren't, would they give away free presents? But can they deliver the presents to the right people and get back home in time? without running into things like the fishy Bucca?

I'll be doing a daily opening post in December. sure, got tons of time until then but you might want to think about picking up a copy as stocks are limited.
 
Sigh. Both went through. Site is shit and keeps returning errors when payment is fine. Think it's a PHP error, but my tech guy has been too busy to sort it (for almost 6 months) and I don't have access to do it myself.

Anyhoo. Have refunded the card payment and will get your order shipped out ASAP. Thank you. :)
 
shame you don't have access yourself cause... yeah.. I'm kinda sure I might be able to deal with that, if not, I know there are a couple of people around here which could ^_^

I'd offer to host the site, but I fear the PCI DSS requirements these days are possibly a bit more onerous, you certainly used to be able to get away with offloading all the card taking and whatnot to a certified third party (be that PayPal, or WorldPay, etc), but we've had a few cases where clients have been in touch needing to scan their websites (which we host) even though they don't hold card details - something about the PCI spec being expanded. Those scans have to be done by authorised groups and in general all their pricing is geared up for serious e-commerce setups, not just the 'odd site'. I'm guessing whoever your current host is already has that economy of scale. Anyhow you never know maybe we can help out, not that PHP is really my thing these days. When there is a spare minute we can have a natter, you never know. It'd certainly run faster on our hardware! :)

Thanks matey. Honestly, I'm considering just getting Squarespace... This was all working fine on the old Wordpress/WooCommerce site but the transition has been awful. I think the error is being generated by a communication failure between site and payment processor. The same one that's preventing automatic emails. At least it's only a hobby thing and doesn't get much traffic anyway. If I manage to get it sorted then I can do a bit more of a marketing pysh, but between that and PPWR it's not worth trying to get customers at the moment.
 
not sure what square space is like now but they did go through a phase were.. yeah.. not a place I would class as great ^_^

Oh... just checked up on them... yikes.. very pro- "AI" with everything. looks worse then my webhost (which to tell the truth, I stay far away from most of their tools. They kinda got worse when they merged with another company and changed their name but, if the e-mail celebrating how long they have been going is anything to go by, I've been with them for most of their existence...

anyway.. too many companies want to just screw everyone over these days so I guess one mess is the same as another. sigh. well.. I guess the Copyfree movement have won atleast.
 
should be a few more I think. It's a limited run but he doesn't put them all up at the same time (also need to think, this is hand assembled components and I know how dull it has been in the past and with shivershield for him to just put everything together ^_^)
 
Not planning another edition... not for a while anyhow!

I managed to get to the post office yesterday as the workmen I thought were coming were actually due today instead!
