My eclectic painting habits

The tin foil worked really well. That banner is the business! I need to try that. I've always used paper, but the foil might be easier to work with.
 
I am not sure that tin foil is easier to work with than paper, what it allows you to do is shape in. It is great and holds a shape well, but any mistaken creases or indents are almost impossible to get out. Still, I enjoyed it and would recommend giving it a go at least once.
 
I also intended to make tin foil banner as I also read it in WD. Only down side except possible damage is that free hand with fine liners is almost impossible. On paper you can be more precise and mixed media is also good for paper. But sure give it a try for couple of times. Nice miniatures you have.
 
My latest completed piece. A carrion rider I wanted to hide its connection to the base and went kind of overboard.

Thanks. It was fun to put together. The base let me use an old mini that was suffering from some lead rot.
 
Wow, those figures look great! What kind of paints do you use to paint? I want to try painting my old gnome figures, but I don't want to buy a whole set of paints. Do you think these paints from the https://paintingbynumbersshop.com/colle ... s-for-kids paint-by-number sets would work? After painting these paintings, I have many different paints leftover, and it would be great to find a use for them. An acquaintance of mine also used these paints to paint on rocks. She did very nicely.
