Michaels Warhammer English Civil War

Hello everyone! This is my first post here.

I have dig up my WH:ECW book a few days ago. I've tinkering with the idea of building a two small armies. About 1k points each. However what blocks me is that the rules doesn't specify the exact of the units apart from ratio. I believe that having two armies with vastly different regiment sizes might cumbersome at best? Anyway, that's how I've found this forum and seeing this little army helps a lot. I will be following your progress.

What do you guys know and think about Wargames Foundry minis? Their covenanters look nice. The only doubt I have is whether they will fit nicely on 20mm bases.

I've had a few 'freebie' Foundry historicals sent with other orders (I really like their paint). If the ECW are the same scale as their SYW range, and I assume they are, then they should fit on 20mm bases just fine.

They do fit in general. The only exception of the ones I have, being the musketeers firing, their musket rests stick over.
But some creative chopping and hacking sorted that.

Can't speak for the Scottish, they look ok, though maybe some of the running highlanders may be a stretch to fit?
