Michaels 25mm WFB Stuff...

I know what it's like when a resin pour like this goes wrong. Kinda why I'm a bit reluctant on doing them, even though I know at times it's a good idea.

I'm not really one for sticking with something because of the cast. They did a series of Sherlock Holmes films with Matt Frewer (20 minutes into the future, Star Trek TNG, The Incredible Hulk) who I thought should be able to do the role well, but I just gave up after about 10 mins of watching Hound of the Baskervilles.. even the Hammer version which introduced supernatural gypsy curse was closer and far more watchable. A real shame cause I think he could have done the Role well.. Not the best but he can do serious with slightly 'odd' without just being silly.

Indeed, I am hoping that I can salvage an acceptable/okayish river from it. Though a good one would have been betterer.

Fair.
I think she has mellowed a bit and is believing her own hype a bit less, but who really knows?

I did not bother with the last season, the novelty had worn off for me by the time it was out, plus despite mostly being able to separate artist from their work, there are some cast members that annoy me (she was one early doors to be fair, but less so now).

So frustrating. Very annoying when a project goes the wrong way and attempts at rescue seem to worsen things. I'm sure you finished result will be very playable and look perfectly good. There vegetation along the banks looked great.

If my memory serves ... I thought first season good, second season mm okay, third: errr, fourth: better than third and not gotten around to watching fifth, but might do at some point.

I suspect the result will be nicer than many you see out there (subjective) and almost certainly better than some wavy felt or cloth, no offence :

Still almost done now, last coat of gloss varnish is applied.

Then I need to work out how to module-ise it so it can swap between it having a ferry and a bridge, which I think I have a plan for...
 
That looks Ace. At one angle you've got it like a river in spate, after a sharp storm, brown with stuff washed down. Surface texture is great and reflects well, looks natural. All well that ends well, wabi sabi and all that! 👍

Grassy ass. There is a log floating and some minor detritus. I have tried to model the current in terms of things collecting along the bank as the current would take them.
It does catch the light nicely.

I mean honestly... in my Warm Ale and Mud campaign there is a chance it will never be used. It all depends on what the undead do when they finally reach the village proper, but this is the only place to cross the river for miles.

However I could always use it in one off 'village events' games that are not part of the undead story.
Plenty of small scale clashes that could focus around the crossing.
 
Looks great, lovely sparkle. I expect the armies can't wait for a dip! Looking forward to seeing the ferry, bridges are two a penny, but you don't see as many ferries so that'll be rather nice.

Hmmmm someone on my own forum said this:

Not very wide. Would the ferry just sort of become a bridge?

He hath a point, whilst a ferry would be cool, the actual ferry vessel would almost be as wide as the river, it is certainly narrow enough for a simple bridge.
I think a cheapo wooden bridge is in order.
