Marauder Giant apparently makes a return

I think bitz used for taps look more like cannon handles but code seems to suggest otherwise.
Btw, I've always thought it was the main man himself riding that cart but snippet from GW's webstore says: "The Dwarf riding the cart is depicted enjoying a frothing flagon full of this fine elixir, the keg of which is adorned with the Bugman name and a small flagon of ale."

Anyone else felt a bit disappointed with no classic chaos miniatures getting done as made to order? Jes Goodwin chaos champions and sorcerers... oh, where art thou? :(

Yes to the cannon handles. Those are clearly the right piece.

Possibly also looking that blurry photo the lever and steam whistle are also part of the piece list. There is a decent resolution photo of a flame cannon you can see the parts on here.

They decided that the unsupported factions for Old world (ones which there will be SOME rules but No no or reissued figures, no official play (not that it matters) etc are:
* Lizardmen (Look a bit slann.. to me.. No clue if they renamed them after 4th)
* Dark Elves
* Skaven (boo hiss)
* Ogre Kingdoms (again, a newer one for me.. Ogre being a whole army just appears a bit weird.. well, despite having a big fight against the Ogre hoards ^_^;)
* Vampire Counts (so.. from what people have said, the cut up undead into Vampires and Skeletons.. Skeletons became 'Tomb kings' with an Egypt theme, Vampires became.. Vampire Counts but no clue with the theming.. I take it includes Ghouls, Zombies, werewolfs etc)
* Daemons of Chaos (they cut up Chaos too? well, more then it already was.. but I guess this is mostly the bulk of Chaos so Champions, sorcerers, greater daemons for each god, etc)
* Chaos Dwarfs (well.. they never catch a break anyway).

completely unrelated really but.. why the hell are the 'Age of Sigmar' stuff more technically advanced? Sigmar is dead long before WFB period.. oh well, never bother too much with that kinda story stuff

Yeah, and leaving skaven and vampire counts out makes sense only as they're very much presented in AoS and have relatively new (or brand-new, in case of skaven) figures. Game is called The Old World and set in that part of the world, yet neither of those two factions are getting permanently included? :roll:

On warhammer community they revealed that chaos gets the following as made to order: "Chaos Sorcerer Lord on Chaos Steed, the Daemon Prince with Sword, the Daemon Prince with Axe, and the classic Chaos Spawn."
Shouldn't be any reason why they could not release those champions and sorcerers if they have the molds.

Age of Sigmar is set after the end times; when world of WFB went ka-boom and GW switched gears to leave rank and file game behind.
It would make sense they'd be more technically advanced, but to me humans in that setting actually seem to have gone backwards; their gunpowder weapons look like small cannons - cumbersome and very unwieldy when compared to pistols and handguns of the empire: Pistols and fusil-cannons. Regular handgunners seem to have gone extinct and fusiliers taken their place.

I think there isn't a case of having the old moulds but remaking them. It's not too hard for them to source a good enough model and make a new mould (being that money they got and the tools). Not the best way, as you can get some degrading but they do say they also retool bits mostly so they are pretty good reproductions of the originals.

The old world map (well, from up to WFB 4) incldues Skavenblight, Britonnia, the Empire, the Black Mountains, Loren. Some of the Chaos Badlands.. So.. makes sense not to include Slann as they are Lustria but.. wouldn't Tomb Kings be outside the Old world? wouldn't they be Araby? which is lower then the bad lands part backed by the worlds edge mountains but. oh well ^_^ don't keep up..

So..Sigmar, one of the lesser Deities of the Empire did all his stuff, died past into myth apart from the odd thing like his Hammer which the Empire saw as a holy treasure, then the world was destoried (kinda) and Sigmar came back but now as a major god?... Come back Malal! we need you!

Let’s not turn this into a moaning thread, if anything the Oldhammer scene teaches us is that we don’t need to be slavish to GW’s latest release schedule and editions…?

yep, It was more with what models they MAY release (like them saying they will NOT be releasing some due to factions etc) from the 80s and early 90s.

I still want them to make a decent website so it's easy to find a list of currently and pre-orders for reissues
