That's a creative army you have there Lenihan! :) Did Brother Pyramidhead come with that crazy helmet, or is it a conversion? Love it all!
Nope, that's the sculpt from Dark Art Studios! Exactly the kind of crazy looking thing that I enjoy. Funnily enough for me, there are no conversions at all in this army - usually I like to chop up a bit of metal!

nice band; perfectly oldhammer in concept.
Thank you! I know I'm preaching to the converted here, but I really like building Oldhammer armies using a mix of old and new miniatures - it doesn't all have to be about paying through the nose for vintage lead, and there are so many amazing sculptors out there!

Ok, so final painting of the year. It's a Jabberwock! I painted this and some chaos hounds (plus handler) for an army painting challenge I'm doing. Unfortunately I couldn't get a good picture of the Chaos Hounds (mix of Citadel, Ral Partha, Grenadier, and Minifigs) and I gave up trying to get a better shot because I need to head out to do some last minute shopping for Hogmanay

That brings me to a total of 110 miniatures painted this year! Some of them even to a decent standard! Far and away a record for me. However... I managed to acquire 195 miniatures. So, taking into account the one I destroyed for a fimir conversion, that still leaves me 84 miniatures in the red. Sometimes admitting you have a problem is the first step to fixing it... Next year I pledge to paint more than I acquire! Oh well, happy new year!

Thank you! That's definitely the aesthetic I enjoy the most, I'm glad looking at enough old painting is starting to have some effect! I definitely enjoyed painting it.

lovely jabberwock and congratulations on the record.
i look forward to seeing what 2022 brings.
Cheers! Well, there's a lot of unpainted lead to splash paint on, and I have a couple of projects in mind - including the perennial tasks "paint High Elves so I can game with my childhood army" and "paint miniatures to play the Dolgan Raiders scenario with Thantsants which I've had on hold for a few years now!" But as you've seen this year, sometimes I have more fun painting one-offs than whole units...

Hopefully I'll have a 2022 thread going soon enough!
