Indeed, likewise I find chipping to be an excellent way to hide paint rubbed off corners and edges!

The Spartan is looking very nice, the purple/white looks good alongside those tracks. I think I might be tempted to I'd add a bit more dirt in the panel junctions to help make the individual components contrast more with each other, but hard to judge from just the photos. Keep up the awesome work, can't wait to see this finished.

while rust, weather effects and chipping are all nice and can be skillfully done.. I'm in two minds on them at times.. Space marines, for example, kinda have an almost religious level with their power armour, cared for etc.. so biting damaged and battle worn is... kinda against that whole thing.. Also why i perfered doing mix armour types in a group.. You wouldn't give up your holy armour just because a new model has come out.

But it can still look great if done right ^_^
