I've Never painted a ....... before - The Fantasy 100 club

Indeed I see now reason it need close. I mean we could just start another thread, so why not continue it all in here so people can enjoy the entire thread. That said I think it's worth saying well done to our first hundred and hopefully we can get another hundred done in no time! :)

True, I think we're up to about 50 on that thread. At some point when I tackle my Eldar I'll be able to post one there! (okay I did have to paint a couple of broken arms whilst repairing those I bought, but I don't think that counts).

I hadn't specifically meant to claim #100 but it's good to see this thread ongoing anyway! Great work on that badger!
Thanks - was mostly a case of multiple layers of various washes and practicing dry brushings over a grey base til I was happy. I'm definitely still experimenting and practicing with dry brushing but I'm finding that for hair, fur and cloth, multiple repeat attempts to get the right look is giving me a more realistic 'depth' to natural fabrics, so will probably try some smudgy 'semi-drybrushing' on purpose in future 🤣. And also that adding just a smidge of wraithbone to white makes a more realistic natural white. I'm loving that every painting session is a school day 😀
