Harry does dungeon tiles.

Coming along speedily! I like the take on the Witch Lord throne room, would be great to recreate the box art with the Barbarian tied and gribbly monsters grasping for him from under the throne platform. You need a raised dais at the back for the skeleton horde to stand on with the captive Elf...
Also pleased to see an authentic HQ tomb going into the WHQ objective room.

@Asslessman .... I think the foam lends itseelf more to dungeons than space hulks.
I disagree. I intend (when I have a quiet few months, so probably never, don't really do quiet) to have laser-cut (and illuminated) platforms running through a Giger-esque hulk for which Styrofoam+heat gun=gloopy goodness!

Thanks fellas

@Paul ... Thanks ... we will have to find an excuse to weave them into the next oldhammer game.
@Steve ... welcome any time ,,, I will put the kettle on.

Ohhh I hadn't thought of that. Yes it would be perfect for gloopy Giger-esque goodness.
Might give that a go one day.

... and .... Well spotted. That is one of your resin bits.

Next up .....

I had another Scotia Grendel bit that looked like this:

I thought it might be cool to head down into the sewers for a for a bit .... sort of "corridor" you might find behind aa secret door? Or forced into the sewer as an escape route???

So I made these bits:

So I could build this:

Then I remembered this and thought that this would be a great place to 're-surface' again:

So I built this:

and ended up with this:

Are those sewer walls carved out of foam, or are they plaster mould pieces?

The white looks very much like Hirst Arts to me. Nice dungeon room! I think I remember that one from White Dwarf maybe? Wish I still had those WD tiles, but they went with the first Heroquest. Boo. ;)

Totes Amazeballs, those are looking really good Harry.

Oh, on the Shredded Wheat - is there a danger of them decomposing? and/or causing mice?

Not the dreaded "Cause Mice" spell! Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo!

Usually that dried stuff is save if stored appropriately, especially if painted and varnished.
Mice are an issue though. I stopped using lentils as cobble stones after some critters cleared whole terrain pieces in one night.

Bloody gorgeous stuff. And you get to realise your ideas much quicker than I do!
Thanks.
Yes ... I don't sleep much.

Thanks very much.

I suspect by the time it is covered in PVA and acrylic it is a whole new composite material that may well not that will still be intact after 20 years in landfill.

Our gaming group no longer allow the use of that spell on the grounds that it is too cheesey.

WTF ... What the hell kind of backwoods, Grizley Adams, log cabin, middle of nowhere, place do you live????

Next up ....

So, a guy put this coin in my hand at the last 'Oldhammer games day' ... I can't remember who it was ... so if it was you ... and you are reading this post ... do let me know so I can 'big you up' and point folks in your direction for coin related goodness.

Anyway ... I only have this one coin .... (as I can't remember where it came from to get some more.) but I had this idea of how I could use it in a dungeon tile ... largely inspired by indiana Jones in the last crusade .... "Elsa don't cross the seal. The knight warned us not to take the grail from here!"
As it happens I have a table full of Grail cups coming with my twisty catacombs Kickstarter.

However, I made my coin rather ill fitting in the floor, by design, so that it could be .... something else too ... a disc that flips and drops someone standing on it into a pit ... or it could be a secret door that when you stand on it lowers you into the treasure room below ... could just be the throne room of the emperor, etc, etc.

Anyway ....

So I have been getting some paint some of this stuff and couldn't resist getting some of it on the table to see how it was shaping up.

Heres some close ups of some of the bits ... Only just the base colours on this but you can see where I am going.

Here is the first of the Quest rooms ... coming on nicely ... needs some scattered rocks, and bones and dungeon dressing with a cauldron and a statue ... and the jobs a good 'un.
