Ghazgkhull's Goff Warband

Not at all sir.

The runt assistants are brilliant, in particular the ones just linked.

Some of the "runtz" minis are pretty much gretchin/gobo size if Im not mistaken.

Ok a Runt can be either a young Gretchin or a bigger Snotling, Orks tend to not care too much about it. There was some fluff in either Ere We Go or WD about a Runt Herder just grabbing anything around the right size to train and sell.

At the risk of project hopping, Ive been doing some work on the Goffs so I can have a fully painted game of 2nd ed with my brother.

I don't know if dem Blood Axes can be trusted...

Considering painting them next up...lots of Squats and Goffs to finish before that though...and Space Wolves that have languished since 93

In fact Im sure a lot of us have armies we bought as old as that not started..

Finish up the squats and goffs they are looking great.. Then onto new old stuff. Thats what I would say.

My brother and I achieved a milestone the other night: our first game of 40k with fully painted armies!

This shining achievement was offset by the game being played on a (green) 4x4 board with plastic containers and cardboard boxes as scenery

My dad picked up a pottery piece of the local church a while ago that made for an exciting centrepiece :|

I was going to do a battle report but will wait for a rematch with some halfway decent scenery...Im very jealous of some of the scenery you guys have!

Another blemish was my brother's army being Tau...but thanks to Ramius4 at Warseer's 2nd ed Tau codex we were able to have a game of 2nd ed.

We played a pitched battle, the highlight being a 4 turn shootout between my dread and his broadside suit-his twin linked railguns couldn't hit a barn door with a shovel and my lascannon couldn't cut through butter while the heavy bolter jammed twice.

In the end the Tau had a resounding victory (no surprise considering most of my boys only having pistols and he was dug into bunkers) but fun was had.
