That happened to me when I won an auction for the TA-4 Orc War Machine. I bid £20 and won it for £25. One of my dogs had decided to attack me as I was bidding so I had bid £2000 instead :shock:

A few times I've forgotten to convert an amount back into the original currency and ended up bidding way more than I meant to. Stupid dollar being worth less than pounds and euros...

I just bought a OOP samurai for 12 pounds when I was thinking my max bid was 12 dollars...I really wanted him but didn't mean to pay that much...

Will definitely have to paint that little expensive bugger well...

Hum, I'm actually bidding on a Great spined dragon and there seemed to be some other person wanting the item who just cancelled his bid. its the third time this month it happens. The first 2 times, the bidder made extravagant bids and withdrew immediately, I guess it was just to know how far I was going to go. This time I can't say the person did that because I wasn't watching the auction but still...
Have some of you ever experienced that before? (or even used this hunter technique to get a mini)

I've had that happen to me as a seller on a couple of occasions. The price of the item gets driven up by somebody...and then they withdraw their bid and the item sells for a sweet deal...if I saw it more I would be more concerned as it being used as a buying technique to scare away bidders and get lower selling price in the end...

Hmm.. I always get suspicious when things like that happen and surprise surprise the auction has been ended due to "a mistake in the listing". I didn't think you could do that on ebay anymore once people had started to bid on your item. Oh well never mind eh? :|

8ravo4lpha7ango you're now on my list of ebay sellers who can't be trusted.

Cheers for the links, apart from the metal Hybrid he has listed nothing else i need so everyone else don't feel your stepping on my toes for biding on them.
