The head tends to be pretty white still. I do love how the barmaid looks like she has devilry on her mind - she's up for mischief! 🤣

Facing different directions as you have done helps too.

For some reason the 6th-8th ed metal Longbeards go for crazy money atm, was able to get these at a acceptable price.

Must be the generation currently going through the 'old enough to have money and want nostalgia' phase. I'm afraid they're not a patch on the Marauder Longbeards.

I think they both have their merits - plus I already have most of the Marauder set…* 😅 However, they will certainly need greyer beards when I paint them! 😉

*just need the one the with flail is anyone has a spare/willing to part?

That does seem to be scarcer. Maybe it was prone to breaking? Though they were sold as a pack of 4 for ages.

Anyway, got the Longbeards and previously mentioned metal clansmen based up, here they are ranked with the plastic and Midlam minis.

I see that united includes quite the Heroic dwarf ^_^ I never noticed how big he is compared to some of them others, specially when the Barbarian is kinda small even compared to metals of the day.
