Darkblade's Quest

Do you have that watch from the Twilight Zone which stops time by any chance? Amazing stuff, makes me feel like an the fella who brought a knife to the gunfight.

Cheers fellas. I wish I did have that watch.

@Phreedh - Don't panic, first edition Bugmans are on the agenda (not for a while though).

I'm currently working on a unit of Marauder Dwarf Clansmen ..

I've got another batch of five on the go.

Cheers,

DB

I think that the marauder clansmen might be my all time favorite dwarfs...such amazing variety and character. As always yours look fantastic.

What/who will you be using for a command group for these guys?

I really must get back to my own unit of these....though it will be nowhere near as impressive as this throng is going to be!

Cheers,

Blue

It's been a while.

I'm working on 5 more clansmen at the mo and am starting to struggle a bit but in the mean time here are the previous lot.

Cheers,

DB

Quite a bit has been done since the last update so here you go..

A few Dark Elves, this will be a unit of 30 Warriors, eventually..

And the Marauder Clansmen are done..

Cheers,

DB

I'm pretty sure I haven't had the time to paint anything since you last updated and you've finished all this? Unbelievable!

Well, you need to pull your finger out and get some more Dark Elves done........please

Really great looking forces, all the little details really stand out. It's easy to see the time and effort you've put in. You should feel quite proud.

Thanks gents, much appreciated.

@Ardyer - I stumbled across the skin tones while messing about with a new pot of GW's pallid wych flesh. I quite like how they turned out.

The witch elves are hella foxy! They are my favorite version of them. They climbed to the top of my list and I picked up 5 and then didn't see more for a long time, then swiped at least 15 more in a sweet bulk lot, so now I'm sitting pretty. I picked up a few of the later marauder ones and was surprised at what a difference. The heads on the later ones are fully half the size as the earlier ones, maybe done by someone other than Aly Morrison? Anyone know? Anyway, I'm debating whether to add the later ones to the same big unit and resculpt the heads, paint them as is as a separate deal, or pass them on. The Fitzpatrick ones never appealed to me meanwhile. The new ones are fine in their clinically clean way, but less fun at the end of the day.

Those Witches are so cool. I much prefer a scantily-clad frothing loony to the more recent naked ones! Choice of hair colour is great and I love the wristbands tying in with the bases, nice touch.

P.S. did you know I invented Darkblade? True story....

Thanks guys.

I've recently finished some display bases for the assassins and scouts, continuing the theme from the DE Regt using the plastic LOTR terrain.

Cheers,

DB
