That bronze is amazing. It looks like you went out and buried a bronze helm for a few years then stuck it onto the mini.
(The rest is just as good too I was just blown away by the realism of the helm).

Thanks guys!!
I really want to do that bronze piezes because they are a nice break from the other colours and also give a lot of character to the mini :)

Look who's join my khorne guys!
Finally ! After years of exile on a box full of lead , and covered on a terrible green plastic paint from the 90's....
Rogon the balrog dragon has come shiny and clean again!! He will be a nice Khorne demon prince!

Finally some time for paint!! But few.... so I was in the need of doing a good but "quick" paintjob.
I never liked too much the old trolls , except the Marsh troll and the one about throwing a rock , but I've been unable to find them yet....
But suddenly I found this guy , by Reaper minis , for just 5 $ !!! And sculpted by Bob Olley !! What more is needed?
The mini came with some floor , plants and small rocks , so I continued that sculpting more grass, plants and rocs , and adding some water , he's a marsh/river troll so....

Now you can see him , I love the oldschool taste it have , this mini may have been sculpted on the 80's and could have been rock!

This figure is awesome and your paintjob is just up to it ! I really like this sinister look he has. He reminds me of the Ral partha troll which also tends to be more on the sinister than dumb side. Amazing piece mate.

Thanks guys!

Axiom : I always use a very soft colouring way . letting every layer punch a bit through the next one , that let you reach for example a final green overall colour
but with a very rich core of complementary colours on its roots. So you'll never see a "green goblin" pure on my minis
Then a lot of VERY diluted inks are used for the shadows , then back to the neutral base colour to blend it all , and then some final highlights again done with soft and
diluted brighter colours.

Some progress shots added btw.

Time for my VERY OWN , ok I have this laying on my table....
What should I go with it...?
At first I thought of creating a huge Chaos Spawn , but as I "hand assembled" the whole thing I realized it must
be something more important than just an spawn....

The torso looks a bit big (or maybe the lower body is a bit small) but it has the makings of a great model - especially in your capable hands. =D

I love this thread with all those classic Chaos Champions.
Great paintwork on all of them.

I have a fair few Champions myself that have been waiting to see paint for some years, and I really must resist for a while longer but this thread really is not helping that.
Must resist......

A really cool thread ! Every minis have their own "soul", which are magnified by the painter.
Great job done here ! 'Love the Bob Olley Troll, by the way !
