Boyl 16 Rise of Morcar, or HeroQuest the battle or BFFG

Nah forget the rules, we'll bumble through making it up if we need to. Just enjoy the spectacle.

That's why I have to have everything planned out in advance and roster sheets so I can make sure I look up everything I'll need to know before the game begins.

You could just go down my route and use Skaven, all you really need to remember is their cool so you know what you've got to try and get not to run away (and then fluff the roll and promptly flee the board)

Hi all

I think I sent the rules and commands for each side to the relevant players on each side (Golgfag1 - you're special, so I'll catch up with you individually). This should include a link to your sides rules and army commands (which have some extra info on for each side). I'm in doubt because I can't see the messages in my outbox.

Please could you check to see if you received anything and if you have access to two new google documents - one the new list of commands and the other the rules.

Thanks
Regards

Gaj

Thanks, Fimm - just resent now and I can see them.

Ok got it thanks. I'll have a proper read when my head isn't so tired. Hopefully I can tweak what I've done to make it fit, spent quite a while making up the roster cards and won't have a chance to redo them next week so I"ll get as close as I can.

Yes please Paul, with my two it will help anyone that takes the dwarven command something to do when everyone else has outpaced them.

Evening chaps

In my haste, I had not really thought about the fact that some of you are supplying figures to both sides. So, although I had suggested in my rules proposals that the owner should create the list of the characters, perhaps the better question is to throw it to the forum:

How should we calculate the characters for the commands that are supplied by the opposite team? I like the idea of the owner of the models creating the list as he obviously can see the figures that he's including in the list and can 'imagine' a bit more easily.

But, that means the opposing team will know about the characters of the forces they have supplied.

The alternative is that the supplier needs to supply a list of the figures to the opposing team and someone on that side has to create the characters. This option is more strategic game wise, but harder WYSIWYG wise.

So, everyone, what do you guys think?

I'll run with whatever the other participants what to do? Can provide pictures of whats available.

Paul / Golgfag1

The elves and Empire I'm supplying I can post up what they are I'm happy for Erny (Elves I assume) and Empire (Quick Ben) to work out the characters.

Alternatively if said generals don't want to include my stuff I won't be offended.

Hi all

Had some good questions this evening regarding the rules packs. Good job, all - keep 'em coming.

I have made changes to the rules packs and to Blue Team's command list. I'll mail Blue Team separately about that.

The change I made to the rules packs was around mounted creatures, so I've added a paragraph titled 'Mounts' at the bottom of the pack which contains my thinking about creatures in general. The key thing to note is that you do NOT need to pay for mounts (of any variety) from your character allowance. Please use this power responsibly :)

Sorry all I've been a bit lax in staying on top of the thread.

My contribution of models seems like it will be pretty minor compared to the rest of you guys, but for the empire I've got:

15 knights
10 Reiksguard foot
10 crossbowmen
30 Halberdiers
10 Flagellants
15 swordsmen
2 (maybe 3) cannon
3 wizards

I've not seen a rule pack yet. Do you need my email address to get that to me?

Kind regards

Alan

Just had a good look and that all seems fair. I've downgraded the wizards from 15 to 10 and 10 to 5 to be able to afford their spells, but picking a spell makes up for that. Where do I find elite points?

I was gonna ask about that, just to be 100% certain, we pay the points for a spell at x level and we can pick what the spell is, we aren't paying for a roll on the table.

Mundane character equipment is free, yes?

Concerning Wizards, do we get an extra free one for the main summoning or do we "donate" one from our list, if the latter what level does the summoner have to be?
Elementals, in the Daemon summoning there was one mention of Elementals, they don`t have to take a control test do they?

The summoning wizards are not free, you pay for them, you decide the level doing the summoning but the higher the level the quicker the summoning. Its a tactical decision.

Normal for equipment is hand weapon free the rest we pay for.

All those daemons and your taking elementals as well? I guess you will be buying only wizards then.

Unlikely both but i have a large Elemental model that would be nice to use.

Shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, he'll try and nab him off you for the good guys!

We've only got 2 Greater Daemons, 1 Daemon Prince and a unit of Lesser Daemons that I'm bringing, not sure about anyone else.

With the lesser rules they become quite vulnerable to Cannon shot and such like.
