Best miniature related things todo in Nottingham UK

My name is Daniel, I work for Roll the Dice Cornwall CIC (https://rollthedicecornwall.com/). I am planning a surprise trip to Nottingham for the other Staff because it's been a crazy couple of months and they do so many awesome things, so I want to do something really special for them. I know very little about the miniature world and I really don't want the trip to be just Warhammer World. I was wondering if you have any advice or suggestions to help me plan a varied miniatures trip? I'd love to try and arrange a Factory tour or something "behind-the-scenes", something a bit different and special than just going to play events.

please delete if this is breaking any rules :) Im just trying to plan the best trip.

Many thanks for any help,

Daniel

Wargames Foundry, created by Bryan Ansell after he sold GW, is only about 30 miles away near Newark. It's in an old carriage court supposedly inspired by Hougoumont of Waterloo fame. They sell their figures, including some historical ones that Citadel used to produce, and have a bunch of nice gaming tables that can be used.

The staff & owners at Foundry are a very decent bunch. In your shoes, I'd approach them, tell them about your group and see what happens.

Another option could be Warlord Games which is also in Nottingham.

Sounds like a really sweet idea! Hope all goes to plan.

Am sure if they are more modern gamers they would appreciate Warhammer World. Should mention what your group do to the staff when booking a visit.

Seconding Foundry. Whilst in Newark the Civil War Centre is a good walk-around for an hour or so if you're in any way interested in such a subject.
I think for the experience a trip to Caliver Books in Nottingham may be fun. It's such an Aladdin's cave I don't know how they find anything!

What a lovely idea! I don't know the area either but was planning a trip (that didn't end up happening) a while back... is Nottingham Castle any good?
