So not only featured in White Dwarf, but featured in the Golden Demon part of a White Dwarf. Very nice

Time to introduce a slightly converted Oddgit (I know it's not strictly oldhammer-y, but I like Brian Nelson's sculpts, too - especially his "half-moon goblin faces

I decided to modify its staff because a) I didn't like the bat-wing thingy on top, as it reminded me of the undead stuff from the Red Period and b) as it didn't look like a real pair of bat wings, I couldn't decide which colour to paint it with.

There has been a backlash of sorts against the aesthetic direction that GW greenskins have taken since the late 90s, when Brian Nelsons influences started to dominate, but I love his work by and large.

Being a Night Gobbo kind of guy, I have a fair few of their more modern sculpts and I like them a lot- including this guy.

I love them, too, especially the squig herder and riders from 4th ed. WHFB (at the opposite, I can't stand 4th ed. orcs)
It was labelled "Oddgit" on the original blister, I assume it was its name

My skin recipe is:
-old dark angels green or orkhide shade (or whatever they call it now-I find the new one is better, actually, as orkhide shade's finish was very dependent on the thinner they put in the pot: it could result in a very flat grey or in a clear bluish green)
-goblin green
-bilious green (or -to save the original- Vallejo livery green, which has a stronger pigment)
-bilious green+skull white (I like my orc skin a little cartoony)

As promised, these are some (poor, out-of-focus, a little overexposed) pictures of Bruk.

In my limited understanding of photographic stuff, I don't know why the pictures turned out so bad: the camera is the same from last time and I even tried to follow a tutorial (I suspect I'm better at improvising rather than planning).
I'll try to take some better ones asap, at least to show off my collection of evocative backdrops.
