A blast from the past

Next up a couple of Treemen.

I have re-posed the one planning to do a conversion I saw once when this model was first released where the tree is an apple tree and is handing someone an apple.

Nice job on the wolf - colours look very natural, which I really prefer on figures. I must be getting old as I find myself increasingly offended by all this black/brown wolf nonsense .

Do you plan to finish the conversion on the re-posed treeman? I like it but confess it seems more like he´s carrying out some Newtonian physics experiment than handing something over. Of course it would be fitting (in my twisted mind anyway) that the theory of gravity in the warhammer world was first proposed by an apple tree(man).

Looking good Harry - nice to see you posting again, although where does treeman fit into 'B' in the alphabet? ;) Did you paint the wolf in the patented harry speed painting manner?

Why is there no sense in black/brown wolves? I think they look pretty good myself - though I do like the grey/white scheme as well, its well painted for sure

Yes ... looks a bit rough now I see it in high definition digital photography .... which is a good deal better than my eyesight.

It doesn't fit in. I am not sticking strictly to the code ... they are more guidlines.
I figure it is always OK do be distracted by a particularly old lump of lead.

So I have been painting up some doors for HeroQuest. They make it into this thread too due to their antquity:

This one is a Fantasy Specials FS3-2 Demon Doorway:

Lovely stuff, lots of characters from the cover of one of the first ever RPG related books I bought as a small boy, Dicing with Dragons! :)

Hello, lovely oldhammer types.

Can anyone help me out with any info at all, (name, range, catalogue number, anything), in relation to the Tom Meier magic user dude on the right hand side of this pic, in the Moebius style head gear?

I've been desperately searching ever since I first saw him on spooktalker's blog many moons ago, (http://belchedfromthedepths.blogspot.co ... t.html?m=1), but to no avail and it's driving me a bit barmy.

This is the only other mention I've ever found of him and some of you seem to be familiar with the mini so I hoped you might be able to help.

Colossal thanks in advance for any clues you can offer,
J.
