Yes, it turned out to be the most challenging one, until now. First there's no plan available, so I had to check many photos for reference and details, furthermore I tried to stay as near as possible to the measurements of the original and was checking photos with the ruler to assume the dimensions, although I failed already on the window facing the fireplace (to big and too low) and the width of the roof (too large).Welcome back! Nice to see someone trying that piece by hand. 👍
Totally. Much as I enjoy the various resin bits and pieces I have as models in their own right, my real love is still scratch building bits of terrain, a love I really must attempt to find time to get back to!Great to see people still working on these buildings the old school way, makes a refreshing change from MDF and styrofoam.
Thank you! Yes, of course there are hundreds of 3D printed or laser cut models, but I prefer researching and building the old Modelling Workshop ones. In fact I have to force myself to paint some miniatures, in between, to have something to play with the terrain.Totally. The watch tower is looking great, coming along nicely.
I have to check. I have made a note of all the pages in the 5th edition rule and sourcebook and the terrain book, where which part of the tower is visible. But the flag part is always a little bit blurry or too far in the background, if I remember correctly.Ah, now the weathervanes is a interesting point...
I haven't got a clear image of that particular model.. I'm pretty sure a C29 Bat... Do you have a decent image of the right one, cause It very much looks familiar from the silhouette but haven't quite seen it clearer to to figure it out.
