though around 13th century meant 'lower animal' compared to man which makes no real sense and part of the ego-trip people were on back there. (so most Beastmen don't really count as Beasts ^_^) later the French 'Beste' meaning stupid idiot human. Which is more on key ^_^
Any besides, two of them heads are clearly not human.

I agree with your point, but that's also why he appealed to me. The difference between mutants and beastmen in the old fluff was vague at best, so I'm more than happy to conflate the two. Chaos innit.

I know it's stretching the definition of 'Oldhammer' (I've always appreciated the Forum for seeing it more as a state of mind). This chap is from the 'Heavy Metal Hordes' Kickstarter from last year. He works aesthetically (for me), but is maybe scaled more towards the Middlehammer beastmen range.

Due to various boring adult expenditure reasons I only backed the 'buy four' option and a pack of the not-Broo shields (I have about 6-months worth of beastmen still to paint, so it was all I could justify). That said, if I was after chaos goblins I'd be over the moon with HMH's latest Kickstarter.
Worryingly, I keep seeing grey bearded men on YouTube and the like reminisce about getting into 'the Hobby' with the 5ed boxset way back in 1996! I'm pretty sure that was only the other day. This also probably explains why my eyes/knees no longer function.

Nah, no worry, that just means they waited way too long. I'm sure many of us didn't wait till anywhere near that '14' age mark to a point where we had to have someone to buy our little bits of metal for us due to the age limits ^_^

Depends on the shop really ^_^ Besides, look on the HQ box ¬_¬ wonder what would Have happened if I was THAT old when I was playing it. reminds me of the computer game rating fuss which despite them claiming, kinda had them back in the 70s with the original 'X rated' video games.. which were awful.
