Going to be interesting to see what scheme you go for when painting!
Has a slightly different aesthetic to that OOTB grimdark.
The outer walls will be white with streaks, the outer beams painted black. The edges of the walls will probably also be blackened - burnt. I will try to decorate the inner walls with wallpapers, I have a box of offcuts left and maybe something will be suitable, and painted colorfully. I am currently covering the pink XPS with wood glue mixed with potting soil to give it texture. In turn, I will probably paint the wooden floors black, and with gray and white abrasions imitating damaged wood exposed to fire and atmosphere.i am very impatient for that to begin.
Thanks! I think the colors should start showing up on the models after the holidays. I gave myself a year for the project and half of that time has already passed. It's really cool to see them with some models - brings them to life that bit more and you can see how playable they are going to be. I still love the floors overhanging that bit on the bases. I'm also looking forward to seeing some paint on them - they look this good unpainted, I can't wait to seem them all finished.
Workshop: Struttendorf, part 24.
After the initial preparation of the building model from the City Ruins and Town Ruins sets from Kromlech, it was time to build some additional terrain elements.
First up were the bastion/redoubt models, which I built from styrodur, coffee sticks, bamboo strips and clay bricks.
Today the second of the building model, which looks as follows.
