Favourite Oldhammer Army

It's always been Wood Elves for me. I've been disentombing my old collection recently after many years of sci fi focus and I'm loving it.
I always liked the noble arrogance combined with their mystical aspects, and like a lot of people I seem to have been heavily influenced by my first White Dwarf, for me WD141, which featured Mike McVey's Wood Elves.

I’ve actually got another set next to my painting desk on the other side of the room for reference!

I need to do a Warhammer Armies style photo at some point with me posing behind the army, but it’s never actually finished, lol.

Unfortunately my photo would be particularly awkward due to the complete lack of fully painted armies (the one stumbling block of the “it’s your army, play as you like” fall down on and shames/punishes slow painters)…

Skaven for the win for me generally but I have to say it does vary game to game. As an example I love the rats but don’t gel with them in Bloodbowl. For Bloodbowl it’s the dwarfs.

IIRC in WFB 3rd edition, undead don't officially have war alters or baggage?

It says in the rules they don't *need* baggage trains, but not that I can't have one if I *want* one, lol.

As far as rules go, if it wasn't baggage I'd jut run it as a plague cart.

I've played up to about 7.5k. Tbh I imagine WFB3 would pretty much break under it's own weight with 20k points a side, you'd really need to split the armies up with multiple players controlling each side.

There are a bunch of the ADD codes in there due to the limited number of 3rd ed sculpts. This is especially bad with the ghouls as you can have up to about 100 of them but there were only two sculpts in the undead range. I’ve padded out the unit with Night Horrors and ADD ghosts etc.
