WFB 3rd Edition game

Hi all,

We would like to run a participatory game of 3rd edition at BOYL this year, hopefully on one of the 6x6’ table on the Saturday.

Scenario to come, but thinking players bring a modest force (maybe 1k each?) and split into ”good” and “evil” sides. We are thinking along the lines of a ragtag collection of small detachments allying together towards a common goal, rather than mighty world destroying armies lead by chaos lords on dragons! (There may be one or two house rules to represent the low key style of game).

There are currently three players signed up. If you are interested please let me know, or any questions please ask.

This is right up my street, it is how I play my WFB 3rd edition games at the moment!!

Not sure I can commit though, maybe, maybe not. Defo up for hanging around and chatting about it though either way.

Great, if you do end up being able to make it please do join in. Even if it’s a last minute thing or you can only make it for some of the time I’m sure there’ll be space for you. You’d be most welcome!

i'm interested if there's still a spot. i should be able to bring my old world mercenaries, the company of the yellow boot (some details here). they're not legal by any army book, but not over-powered.
do you know when it's running now?

Due to table availability this game is now on the Friday. We’ve got a table booked for the morning and the afternoon slot, so hope to be setting up from around 10am.

Your old world mercenaries would be most welcome to join in!

Am building up a Dwarf army for a local TOW campaign, but get the impression points costs are a lot more in that rules set? Am not sure will have 1k in time for BOYL but fingers crossed.

Dwarfs sound great.

The 1k thing was just a guideline really so please don't let that put you off. If you have less than that that’s fine. We can tweak things so the sides are vaguely equal.

Ah, that's a shame. If you do end up being around on the Friday then I'm sure there'll be space for you.

Seems like I will be playing more 3rd Ed than I have a 3 decades at BOYL! ;)

Are there details of the big board game (replacing Helsreach) this year?

Not sure what's happening regarding the big tables. There may be talk on Facebook, but I don't do Facebook.

I am never sure where to look on FB, there are so many groups on there, discussion gets lost in posts and that’s if table plans are actually discussed rather than in private chat. All a little impenetrable…
Just hope things are posted on the website, as friendly as the actual event is, can be a bit off-putting to prep for.
