WBRBloom's shenanigans: My painted (mostly metal) stuff.

I don't mean musical metal stuff, although I do listen to that kind of music (not as much as I would like, anymore, but still).

So, welcome to WBRBloom's painting shenanigans, where I will post, mostly, metal stuff. I've been around the block a few times, so I'm no longer a new kid. Over these years I've accumulated a few pewter/white metal models which, due to wrong equipment, inexperience, fear, the stars not being right, never got into painting.

Since I'm not getting any younger, and time is creeping up, I decided to start painting everything that I own. I recently finished my 4k points of my Black Legion Warhammer 40k army. And when I say finished, I mean that I painted all the models that I ever purchased for that army. Every. Single. One.

I have since purchased a few more, newer, models, which I haven't got to painting (yet) as I got caught in the crossfires of multiple other projects, painting challenges, life, work, Halloween, travels, you name it. But I'm slowly, and purposefully (like the Obliterators of old), getting there.

Without further ado, I will start with my LE2 Space Marine, which I painted this last year for the Olden Demon 2026 competition, and I selected as my avatar. It didn't win anything, not even a mention, but I realised that I didn't do it neither for the mention, nor the trophy. And that made me happy.

I had this guy for a while now, and the paintjob was awful. I procured a hexagonal era appropriate base as well and, as an added bonus, I also got to meet its sculptor, Bob Naismith, which made this project pretty special for me.

Enjoy!

Lovely paint job on the marine, I particularly like the little warning on the backpack. The helmet lenses are very nicely done. Bob does have an account here and occasionally swings past!

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the heavy metal and if you have the desire to share you're musical accompaniment, metal or otherwise, we do have a thread for that!
