Some of these were an absolute pleasure to paint (Vecna and Will for example), but others were...not! The hydra was tricky just to prep, as it comes in two parts which I thought were too tricky (thin) to pin. In the end I used a load of super glue and milliput.

I've no idea why Luke is not listed as Lucas on the Mirliton website, but anyway...!

They've all been varnished with three costs of Vallejo satin, followed by two coats of Vallejo gloss for that gem-like quality!

At the end of a very productive couple of days off, here's the last mini I've painted: a super cronchie eBay recast, all the way from Canada...
I really love these ones, where they're a cast metal version of a plastic only mini. No reason to make them apart from a home brew Thing!

Kinda loved painting this one...
Chickened out on some decoration on his hat and side of his cloak thing though... I also forgot to do anything other than basecoat the trousers, but it still looks good!

Nice work replacing the detail on that face. The dodgy caster is producing even worse metals than I thought, the plastics have much nicer definition than that.

Yeah.. I was gonna say they are VERY poor... hell, I could do better and .. well, I'm not in the selling business like that ^_^: I mold my own stuff for myself (or use pre-made molds). that said.. I have sometimes wondered if I'll ever do anything I think is good enough to say... take part in a certain community casting thing so people could buy profesionally cast versions.. but right now.. nope.

Also reminds me.. the Metal proto of the Orc Shaman was released officially. Not as limited as the AHQ pack but still a bit limited.. yet he appears to be really hard to find.. weird..

No way! I didn't know the prototype was released!

I've some lovely sculpts based on the prototypes I'm planning to paint early next year. Just bracing myself for the deep run of mould line removal...

Yes. The orc shaman and storm mage seem to be the easiest HQ prototyples to find. As Manic says, the orc shaman got a limited release and the storm mage I suspect has been recast as I see him pop up quite frequently.
