At this point, it's procrastination! Anyway, this pit fighter was a chore, but he's done enough. If I was to do something else, I'd change the contrast on that skull on his belt - try and get it to match the knee buckle

quite like the Pit fighter figure but it did look a bit busy in places, So I can see it being a bit of a pain. Nice job on it though .

Today is a momentous day, as I've put the last lick of paint on the Warhammer Quest (1995) base set! Just three of the original heroes to paint now!
I've no pic of the set yet, as I immediately took them around a friend who'll put a finishing layer of varnish on them

using AHQ heroes as proxies or as well? Nothing wrong with them but I've noticed both the Elf and Wizard from AHQ but not the WQ versions ^_^

Yeah, I only had the elf in the original box and it's taking ages to find the others so I've been painting what I had as proxy

He had a big ol' bend in his sword, but a dip in some hot water straightened it right out

Kinda highlights the inconsistency in photography angle and light levels But either way, I'm still feeling super motivated, so I've just ebayed some more models!

(Although this guy is a print, which was offered me by a friend after seeing I was missing them. I'm really not a fan of 3d prints for gaming figures as I feel they're way too delicate. I drop them enough when I'm painting them, let alone in the gaming table. I have the dwarf too as a print, but the wizard that I've picked up on eBay is a metal recast, which I'm super excited about as it should be bulletproof. It might be poor, it might be good. Let's roll!)

Felix is smaller than I remember and Gotrek seems to have too much armour for a slayer Still that aside some more stunning paint jobs. The fur cloak and red cloak in particular have come out very nicely.
