Warhammer Quest

for some reason, he reminds me of a halfling version of one of Britain's biggest stars and the voice which got us through WW2 (despite people claiming Vera Lynn..) Geogre Formby. in the 1930s and 1940s there was no bigger star in the UK and he was known world wide.. though later into the 1960s they started to try to distance themselves for 'common peoples' of the past and only the more posher peoples like Vera Lynn (who outlived him alot) got the praise, and he was then greatly downplayed..

well.. since it reminds me of him and it's the second one you painted up I can honestly say "Turned out nice again"

Well...
This might take a while!

I think flagstones throughout.
The white cardboard denotes a tree, which I hope to make out of twisted wire.
Right hand side, maybe some iron railings holding back some zombies or something
Stone wall
Pillars. Wooden door, slightly ajar.
Skulls throughout

Ha! Good grief no.
I do hope though to have multiple levels, so I'm going to focus on each one separately. This is the top layer, and entrance to dungeon.

Second layer might be the crypt

Third layer might be some kind of sewer?

Fourth later should be the Liche King throne room

I'm open to ideas and options.
Classics like the bobby trap, treasure hoard and monsters should all find a home.

It might just be the three layers though - works a bit better thematically. - Top, crypt, throne room. Give the sewers a miss. Does mean the skaven take a back seat though

Split the middle layer into two adjacent rooms? Looks like you might have the width for that, You could then have your well going into the sewer (ahem) and your dungeon entrance going into the crypt and always have some kind of wall break between the two.

Gonna re-do the foam and make the entrance 45° to the corner, I think it should provide a bit more direction and will make it easier to put the stairs in underneath. Might make the doorway a bit more biggerer

Lush. Is he a prototype figure or one of the standard 5th ed wood elves? I didn't think they still did metal prototypes for plastics that late.

I *think* he's a homemade cast of the plastic original... He came with the WQ wizard which I also painted previously. Brought off eBay (especially because they were metal!)

A side by side (although they're not physically side by side, as the glossy one is at Warhammer World!)

I tried painting him with a black undercoat, which I'm not a fan of but I guess you got to try these things sometimes!

100!

I've one more hero to paint that I've undercoated black - another wizard. It's one that a friend sent me which is 3d printed.
I'm not a fan of 3d prints - especially for models that exist. I find I always break them by dropping them.
Anyway, black undercoat so that I can tell the difference between it and an original. Although the print is terrible - very blurred...
