Warhammer English Civil War Rules

Well Bicorne have been in receipt of my returned order for two days, no sign of a refund yet or even any acknowledgment they have it.
I have however managed to flog some MDF bases and trays and gotten enough cash together to place an order with Wargames Foundry, so I have ordered my 'army' and a pack of civilians which will be scenario stuff and also they will work for my War Hammer Horror project too.

yeah.. I think a few of us might have second thoughts with Bicorne in the future.. but I can't speak for myself cause.. I don't know what they sell ^_^ well, part from minitures..

Same as me really, but with slight variations.

Hers are the same but Cuirassier cavalry so a bit heavier, but a smaller gun.

Plus a few spares/characters for both our armies.

Aiming for around 600 - 700 points per force.

Grand. I'm going to work out equivalent of Scots covenanters because I still think on that 600-700 point scale it could be a fun mini-project.

...I was quite inclined towards bicorne for the regiments of foot though!

not trying to derail too much but... is the English Civil war one of the few Civil wars which were Civil wars? I mean, the Spanish Civil wars had alot of English taking part, the American Civil war had alot of French, while they call it the English Civil war, it does appear to be the British Civil war, but taking that into account, I don't know much Foreign forces at play in it.. while most other civil wars DID have alot of foreign forces..

I will say my History isn't best but... it's interesting

ah, fair enough. Like I said, my history isn't great. Shot of Welsh, some Irish and Scots, I didn't know about any foreign involvement.

Fantasy war is much better.. atleast you know what the sides are fighting for

ohh.. here is something of interest.. well, would be to me but I doubt you can find a figure..

I was reading that the other day, or at least accounts of such stuff.
In terms of females in male clothing so as to join up and fight, a figure that is obviously a woman would be no good, as it is clearly a woman?
What you want is a model that looks like a man if it is to be believed?

Though there is this:

nice. There is a big lack of female miniatures as a whole. you get the barbarian/amazon types, and you get villager types but that's mostly it. You can get a range of male human types, muscle bound, weak, comic etc, but when it comes to females, much less.. and too many people think if you did a female goblin (who... often don't have females anyway) you shouldn't have them looking like a goblin, but like a human female... but that is a nice figure. very much female while makes sense in a "man's world". And I have to stop myself before I get side track with Jehanne and stuff (need to finish them minis)
