Warhammer English Civil War Rules

It's part of the Warhammer Historical line of the early 2000s.
so we get muddy as there are some 6ed players here. As for the historical nature.. ehuh.. I can't see a problem. Fantasy games spun-out of historical.

So it's probebly all good ^_^

I can't see the historical nature being not allowed as GW made a shed load of historicals.
More the age of the rules?

If it was the crusades using old GW knights etc fine.
Maybe if it was English civil war using WFB 3rd edition probably fine.

But not GW models AND comparatively modern rules... ?

You might escape the full and righteous wrath of the fundamentalists if you ditch your Bloody Miniatures and replace them with the old Foundry figures by the Perry apostles. Added bonus is that they'd scale with your Stirland farmer fella.

Actually after waiting for the order from Bicorne to be cast I have come to the conclusion, that they may be too big and that Foundry would be a better match with what I have.

So I have e-mailed Bicorne and asked them to cancel the order before they get around to it.
I did also suggest they keep a certain % of the money as way of apology.

This does mean that I will have less options going forward and that it will cost more.

But they are more likely to fit my 20mm x 20mm bases, they will be quicker to get (I can always drive down and pick up an order), plus they speak to me more.
They are not quite as nice as the excellent Bloody Miniatures and Bicorne, but they still feel better somehow.

Well I e-mailed Bicorne yesterday and left a voicemail this morning to check and confirm.
They just e-mailed to say they never saw my e-mail in time and it has already been posted.
They will of course let me return it to them, but they expect me to not have the postage refunded.

I have e-mailed back to explain that I will of course pay to return it to them myself, but that withholding the postage to me is illegal.
Is that actually what they mean?

What makes this even more annoying is that when I e-mailed them to say I am cancelling I said to keep some of the money as way of apology for the hassle, then they try to get away with not giving me a full refund?

It has to be said it has left a bad taste in my mouth and has somewhat dampened my enthusiasm for ECW, however once I do get my full refund I will carry on, though for now this has vexed me a treat.

It has bummed me out quite a bit to be fair.

Only ever had one other bad experience and that was when someone refused to refund me for a cancelled order.
I ordered something and my wife also ordered it, so I asked to cancel my order, the guy refused and started sending me abuse.
Fortunately I paid via PayPal and they eventually found in my favour and took the money from his account to reimburse me.
Alas Bicorne don't accept PayPal and I had to use my debit card...

Fingers crossed they refund me in full (minus what I offered as a hassle offering) when they get the goods back.

I think that is what is bothering me the most.
If I had gone with my gut I would have the models that I know I prefer by now.
As it is I have to wait for the refund and then order what I know I should have got to begin with.

My own fault.

Bleuurgh.
