War Hound WIP

OH, we are a pretty supportive bunch really. I haven't said much cause I've got not much to say on this topic. Never really got into Epic.. had a couple of plastic box set titans but not much connection with titans.. though I have wanted to do a 40 scale Imperator Titan foot (and maybe part of the lower leg) as a terrain piece for my Space wolves when I get around to it. Like the idea of the building sized foot with the steps which could hold figures and the big gothic windows. No room for a full sized titan and the Imperator is kinda a big boy (I think, the warhounds go up to the knee).

though I'm sure it wouldn't be this good. That head is looking really well done so far

There's not enough plumbing in modern warhammer
To the deranged mind of the modeller the world takes on a strange and different appearance, pieces of polystyrene packaging become buildings and bunkers, dessert and margarine tubs are components for towers, tins and cardboard tubes assume the proportions of mighty buildings.
...to quote Rick Priestly in Rogue Trader.

I know what you mean I love the FW titans, I like the designs and they appeal as amazing models to build (maybe one day). However my heart lies in the nostalgic love of my slightly less practical (realistic?) classics and their quirks!

You might enjoy this video series then: https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLaWSNZlS1vJJpLVzMXJfaQo7IVhPD0JzI As an aside the Warlord Titan foot diorama is one of my favourite pieces (it's at Foundry). Hoping you give it a go one day, will be cool to see.

probably cheaper
Has to be cheaper to edit existing software models than start from scratch.

Miniature design has fashions just like everything else, I guess. The modern designs came out of the Forgeworld arm as far as I can tell and a lot of people were enamoured with them.

Epicast did apparently make an unreleased Crusader Knight, but I've never seen a picture of one. So I guess this could be one if not a scratch build.

Great teardrop vents on that weapon.
