i went with @Fimm McCool's suggestion of the bob olley one's from ral partha europe.
here are previously painted (non-stripped) ones, now based to match.
i'll try and get photo's of all 21 when there's a bit more light, as they won't all fit in my photo. booth.

command vehicle for my planetary defense forces.
a lightly converted culverin models boar troop carrier.
culverin models were supposed to be at lead & steel, but were a no show. i'd hoped to peruse their range for something suitable.

I've been following military news way too much since Russia invaded Ukraine. (Which leaves me thinking about how to model drones on the gaming battlefield, among other things.) A Hedgehog tank would look great in chaos colors, I think.
So much of the Ukraine war has looked like Kitbashing in 1:1. Everything from "turtle tanks" with sheet metal tack welded onto every surface to DJI drones with grenades strapped to them. It's both horrifying and fascinating. Which is . . . well . . . war, I suppose. Better to do it with dice.
