^It would be an interesting exercise to create a filter that more or less replicates the way our voice sounds on the inside, and play it for other people to see what they think.
 
It would be tricky.. partly to do with the air because, of course, sound is cause by vibration in the air. Human vocal cords are in the throat, they vibrate so you mostly hear it via that vibration (the same way bone conductive hearing aid work kinda) where others (and audio recorders) hear it from the vibrations through the air.
 
Sorry if this isn't the most suitable place to ask, but can someone answer some Shivershield rules queries please?:

1) When a character's token is placed in the Alert Block, do they immediately pick up an Alert Condition marker, or do they only get their first marker when refusing their activation having observed an enemy action declaration?

2) When someone is wide spaced in a grapple, is it +1 to the attacker AND -1 to the attacked (as per the example in the rulebook)? as this isn't stated in the summary table.

3) When Company members 'pile in', is that a free movement? I.e. costs zero stamina.

2) Yes, that's an error. Damn! How did that get missed? I checked through those examples so many times... Just the +1 for wide spacing your opponent.
3) Yes, the pile in is free.

So the grapple rules on p21 are wrong, the reference table is correct. Wide Spaced should be +1 to the attacker, not -1 to the defender.
 
Oh, no matter how many people and how much checking, you are gonna have mistakes ^_^ I've been playing a game which has a hell of a lot MORE checkers and appears a MAJOR part of the game had a mistake which means I have over 100 cards in a deck which have never been used cause no-where in the missions where you are meant to use them is it said to use them ¬_¬

Oh, sorry to bear that bad news. Many thanks for the clarifications though!
As I mentioned earlier above, the overall package is excellent. I can't wait to try the new edition in anger, and foolishly have been inspired to start prepping three different warbands already, with a couple of others in mind too! I'll never get anything finished at this rate.
 
I need to press my local again cause I can imagine he either forgot or hasn't gotten around to thinks.. but then, it is a pretty far distance to travel so might not be fully worth it ^_^ depends.

and I agree, how it goes well.
