GG 2026 The Spawn of Change, Rot of the Drakwald.

It’s not particularly impressive…? I think fungus clouds are quite explosive!

Saw this Slimemould fruiting bodies photo yesterday (BBC website, photographer of year, 'Secret Worlds' entry).
And thought of your (grown up, angry) little fella, even the legs.

I’m really really tempted to ditch my paint job plan and copy that one ☝🏻.

That said, decisions were made, 2 smoke plumes are glued now. Also vestigial / growing legs to the sides. I’m not decided on the giant right hand (with or without an eye).

I know! The colours are amazing, nature can be so alien to the human eye sometimes, especially the microworld, but look 'right' at the sametime!

I am loving the process on this one. Just the base is going to look incredible.

Refined the"joints" for the vestigial / newly sprouted feet and other stuff. Macro photography is unforgiving, though (I?m seeing things I don't like as I post this):

Then I strayed a little from the path and this happened...

Heeeeeeeeeee.....

At this point It should be clear that my path when converting things is just let the model evolve on its own way, embrace randomness and unpredictability. I never know how things will look at the end. And that's Chaos. As it should be.
