Kinda wanna play Hero Quest now.
Never played Advanced Hero Quest, didn't fancy it as a kid cuz spesh mehreenz were all I cared about, now I wouldn't mind having a go.

AHQ is the best dungeon crawl system ever IMHO.

Except I always thought that the bases were oversized for the floor tiles Annoyed me no end for some reason! I do love that game however, played so many hours of AHQ as a kid, awesome stuff.

Yep. The cardstock is definitely sub-par in terms of size and art. Thinking mostly of the actual mechanics.

AHQ isn't obscene on eBay. One day I'll take the plunge. A lot of the missions in WD looked fun.

Got it for a fair price, missing the odd bits, the only ones of any real importance are the doors (not that I can't just use ones from Hero Quest) but.. Haven't gotten to try it solo or anything yet. Though technically I've only painted up a couple of minis (I was missing some Men at arms but that's not a problem, and some Skaven which again, isn't a problem and I got a fair number of that sculpt)

Yup. The campaign section is also way nicer than the Warhammer Quest one too, which annoyed the heck out of me.
