^^^ Terrible that we both own three of these and neither has produced a painted one yet ;)

Tssssss, you take me for a slacker or what? Of course they've been pianted...only thing is that I have kind of ... altered them with plastic bits, I still think it was a good idea but they could benefit from a make-over with my upgraded skills. Just see for yourself.

Guess someone needs a little fixin' :

Left leg as been horrifyingly cut in sevral parts, knees have been drilled to put plastic knifes in them and the whole model has saw slashes all around...
We can rebuild him, we have the technology...

The height of Orc medical science - toothpick for a new leg.

Re: AW: The mini rescue thread

I am tempted to say "good as new" but that would be unfitting for a zombie I think.:)

Here is my "rescued" Demonworld Dragon.
I once built a double headed dragon for a DW-painting competition (must have been in the early years of that game) and the remains of the secaond one have been left in my bitz box since then. When I recently found a Tigre of Dirz head next to it, I took it as a sign that I have to save that miniature somehow.
As I am not intersted in DW anymore, I made a Rogue Traderish Alien Punk out of it.

See, that's what I love about space opera: a dragon can be a fairly believable character. I love it. Very nicely done indeed.

Just brilliant once again.
The added details and bit make it totally credible in RT. Th evest, gun, and even attitude really have the perfect vibe. You really have an eye to see things the way they can turn out, I would have struggled with the same pieces for sure.

Here is my Distracted Slaanesh Priest
It is based on an old Citadel Judge Dredd Fatty - it was missing an arm and the head was sawn off.
In my bitz box I found an arm with a spellbook - with an unverted Slaanesh symbol (From Hartbreaker? MtG or Earthdawn?) so it was clear that he would become a Slaanesh cultist.
At first I wanted to add a blade to the other arm, but after the first positioning of the head (with the tounge out) it was clear that a simple hand with a knife just would not do. In addition it would have been more difficult to sculpt the long sleeve if the arm was more extended (for the knife).
The downside is that this really is a horrible model. Mould lines all over which could not be removed without killing details like buttons etc.
In the end I stopped messing with them, hoping that they will not show after painting the model (sadly they do though).

*applause*

logically a grotesquely fat mini would be converted into a nurgle character. instead, you went a different direction and more than pulled it off. nice work.
