Hello!

I wanted a place to share some snaps of my figures for the galaxy's greatest game: Blood Bowl. I would also love to see everyone else's BB models, if you fancy sharing.

Below are the first few members of my Chaos Team that is currently on the painting table.

And here are a couple of chainsaw wielding loonies and a hobgoblin sneaky git.

Below are two 90s teams. Skaven and Lizardmen. Two different flavours of filth. The green background is a bit much, sorry about that!

These are all absolutely marvelous! Is the squig the mascot or does he play?

I still play 1st ed. BB with my kids, so all our teams are cardboard (the grid on the pitch is far too small for 28mm minis, especially the big lads). But this thread did remind me that lurking in the bottom of the box were some Freebooter cards for 2nd ed. They must have come as a freebie in White Dwarf. Anyway, they're no good to me, so if anyone here can make use of them just drop me a message and I'll pop them in the post.

Blood Bowl has never really been my game though I do have three teams. Here’s a snapshot of the only one of them that was painted by me.



In my defence, these Norse were painted 20 odd years ago (the basing’s a give away). IIRC, this was around the time that I was moving from proper grown up historical wargaming back into fantasy and sci-fi. I appear to have been using techniques that worked fine on 15mm, but look rather stark on the larger stuff.

Lovely team! I think the painting is great. Strong contrast makes them very legible, and those guys want to show off their beefcake muscles and oiled beards.

^I've never really been a BloodBowl player, but seeing arm . . . I mean teams like that would sorely tempt one. Those look great! I particularly like the dwarves and frogs. The orcs are also quite lovely indeed. All glorious stuff!

Wow, what a collection of teams! Well the only team I have painted and with me are some Skaven I picked up off eBay some years back and painted either last summer or the one before. I think they are probably the 3rd edition era miniatures. I've only ever played 2nd edition however.

Otherwise I do have a half painted set of the humans from the 2nd Ed box off with my brother and he probably has my Champions of Death team - bodged together from plastic skeletons and old GW mummies with various shoulder pads and spikes stuck on them! I've a few newer teams from Greebo Games, picked up over the years, but nothing painted yet.

Great rats mate! Yeah they're the 3rd ed skaven. The mutants are great. I've got the crab claw rat on my table right now and he's great.

This thread has been lush and those Chaos Renegades are badass. I find tentacle-boy without any trousers especially horrible!
