There must be something in the air. I literally picked up a copy of 'the riding' last week from eBay.
I'm a little weird here in that I don't really play Warhammer fantasy, but love the sourcebooks from this era and bend them to fit with the rules I use (song of blades and heroes) just to be awkward, I do it all in 15mm too.
I think the thing that's missing form the riding though is the lack of scenarios. Terror of the lichemaster has three very clearly defined scenarios, as does Macdeath and the magnificent sven. I guess the riding feeds more into the roleplay side of Warhammer as it was back then. Still, there's plenty for me to nick and adapt for song of blades and a few scenario hooks in there too.
For me, I just love the writing from this era, back when Warhammer felt like it lifted more from Terry pratchet or even Monty python.
The figures you have lined up look excellent. Have fun getting them painted up!
