To answer your second question fist, yes I play my games solo. The first question will take a little more explaining. Tony Bath is one of the fathers of modern wargaming, along with Donald Featherstone, and Charles Grant. He wrote the excellent book Setting Up a Wargames Campaign which has a nice card driven system for developing the personality of the characters in the campaign. This can then be used to decide how they will behave in the tabletop game.
 
I've just read the Dreadnought scenario (have realised the one I have read before wasn't the first one.). That was very interesting. Haven't even thought about playing RT solo. Actually, I did, I thought about trying Battle at the Farm just once but never got to play it.

I assume that card driven system is just a small part of the book? How does it generally work?

I sort of feel like deaths should be expected in battles involving the sort of ultra-deadly weapons that are used Rogue Trader. Like ultimately if there's combat, all characters are in danger of dying, that's the essence of the situation. I sort of think that it would be interesting if there was some kind of scenarios/gameplay that doesn't involve combat. Ranging from stuff like bar fights to I don't know something that doesn't involve fighting altogether.

I cannot take any credit for the board, but the moustache that is all me. It started as a bit of silliness during the COVID pandemic and it has becoming my signature look these days.

You have a good eye for the miniatures that is indeed Johnny Alpha.

When I was playing the game my opponent named this miniature after one of our mutual friends, who happens to run a chess club. This gave birth to the Chess club gang, a gang that has so far done well in the games. More to come on that front later. I think that it was due to the checkerboard design of him uniform.

Yes, I am using the old Citadel miniature of Strontium dog in my games as the rebel leader Gorick "Red Eyes". This is not a great angle but here is a shot of him in the game.
